Sitting on the park bench while I write this. No joke…..Ok maybe I’m in my home office. We haven’t done any Jethro Tull yet, but we’ve done plenty of greatest hits and I’m ready for the challenge. Let’s go!

Pressing: Pitman Pressing released in 1975 off Chrysalis Records.

Sleeve/Record Grading: VG-/VG-. Ring wear and inner paper sleeve is in rough shape. Vinyl plays ok but skips on side A and is pretty noisy throughout. Might just need a deep clean, but definitely one of the rougher copies I’ve come across so far.

Sound Quality: Very noisy with clicks and pops fairly consistently. Mastering seems to be ok, it’s just the surface noise preventing me from getting the full picture. Doesn’t make it unlistenable, just challenging at times to hear everything.

Favorite Song: Aqualung. Come on, need I say more. Classic tune.

Song I’ve Never Heard, But Dig: Nothing is Easy. Really enjoyed this song. Obviously all of the tracks are very solid, but this one was a standout.

Such a unique sound and incredibly solid musicianship. Looking forward to getting into some of their other albums. There has to be more.

Randy's Recs

Collecting vinyl has always been a hobby. My stepfather (Randy) left me his entire collection before moving and I vowed to listen and dig into each one.
