TIL-001 Liar’s paradox

What is Liar’s paradox?

Consider the following sentence:

I’m lying.

Is this statement true or false?

If the statement is true then I’m a liar. But then I’m telling the truth so I’m not a liar.

And, if the statement is false then I’m not a liar. But then I’m telling the truth which states I’m a liar.

So, it’s classic case of contradiction.

This year I’m planning to write a TIL (Today I Learned) post everyday.

One clap, two clap, three clap, forty?

By clapping more or less, you can signal to us which stories really stand out.
