Convenient love

A love of convenience
Isn’t a lie?
Surely you must know
What it does to a person inside
Seeking conversations
When you get free
Of all your whims and fantasies
While I waste away in tired sighs
Waiting if I should or shouldn’t
Tell you goodbye
But the moment you come
Everything is long forgotten
Buried deep in my mind
Lying in the corner, slowly rotting
I hang on every word, every beautiful thing you say
And it is this that blinds me
In every way.
Come and go as you may
Because this convenient love
Is what gets me through the day.
