Making Prototype: Week #3–6

Past few weeks was really long, I didn’t had a much time to write something about development and not much time was spent over the prototype.

But in the end I spent mostly 20h for 4 weeks, it’s a less then half that was planned, but I have some reasons for this.

The main reason that 2 weeks from 4 I was in working trip and didnt catch time to work on any aspects of the game So in total I working only last two weeks on it.

Also I was a little bit depressed over past week and decided to chenge everething in this prototype:

  1. I’m moved from 3D to 2D — because I didn’t feel a need power to work with 3D assets
  2. An aproach to finalise tasks — the main goal now to has some satisfaction from task that I’m making. To acchive it I’m working on taks till it will be fully finished and didn’t switch to other
  3. Change Engine — I’m back from unity to Game Maker, I do not belive that it will be for long time, but still I preffer for 2D games GameMaker instead of Unity

So in the end this weeks was the black box in what I’ve tried to find some answers and a red line to the next step over the prototype.

And today getting out of this black box I have few main thing:

  1. Happy to announce that that I’ve started to work with Evgeniy Yudin, he will create stunning art for this game (on the end of the post I will share the first image that he made)
  2. Finnaly decide with working name for this prototype — “See No Dreams”, for some of the readers it will be probably simmilar in the name to the film from 1979 called “See No Evil”, but it has nothing common in general
