That’s not fully fair, in my opinion. Though the full-‘Not Invented Here’ crowd never ships or ships a half-done product, the full-’Never Invented Here’ ships a cheap, low-quality macaroni product.
A product that’s might just as well have been a WordPress website — everything is clicked and hacked together until it seems to work.
The ‘Not Invented Here’ is impossible for any large scale product, but the ‘Never Invented Here’ is impossible for anyone who wants anything near quality, or any specific features that can’t be found on GitHub.
The author is making an Argument to moderation, which isn’t unreasonable in this case.
