Sitcoms: A Hidden Effect of Laughter
Melanie Jayne Johnson

It’s interesting that the shows we use to alleviate our stress from day to day problems may actually be asking us to reconsider the way we behave in society and our society as a whole. The fact that concepts that were worth poking fun at in the 70’s are still prominent today and that we still use the same medium to showcase these issues. I wonder if it is just sitcoms that express these unideal societal flaws or television as a whole.
