Tips for Picking the Right Four Wheel Drive Insurance

I always suggest that everyone should have 3rd party property insurance, regardless of the value of their vehicle. This is common sense when you consider the amount of money you could be up for if you hit an expensive car. As for the rest of your insurance, the value of your car both in terms of its money and personal value needs to be considered. If you have spent hundreds of hours making your car into what it is today then there is a good chance that you want to be covered it!

Most people weigh up the cost of the premiums and then decide whether it is worth insuring their vehicles for comprehensive or just 3rd party. It becomes economically unviable when the value of your car is very low — as the premiums add up quickly to the value of the car. Of course, if you are carrying valuables around then you want to ensure that they are covered too. If theft or fire is a possibility (which it always is) then you need to decide whether it is good value to pay that little bit more to get it covered.

One of the most important things to think about when insuring a Drive Smart is the modifications and accessories that exist on the vehicle. If any of them are considered illegal and contribute to an accident that you have then the insurance company can get out of paying your claim; and that hurts! If I was to suggest anything else I would say shop around. The quotes I have received for my four wheel drive vary by several hundred dollars over the year (and have been over a thousand too!). You may as well spend a few hours getting quotes — it will save you a few hundred dollars.
