As someone who only casually follows the game, can you explain what the upside is for the Bulls in their trade with the Thunder? I know Taj wasn’t expected to return, but McDermott seemed to be a developing asset that just needed more floor time. Can any of the players received from the Thunder play? If not, this is a bizarre move. It is one thing to acknowledge that this wasn’t going to be the year, but on the other, the future ain’t looking so hot either.
