Reminisce. One.

I just happened to stumble across some poems that I had written when I was in an abusive relationship, over three years ago. I’d like to share them here for you to read, relate to, and maybe take comfort in knowing that you’re not the only one. There are about five odd poems in store, which I’ll keep posting every other day or so. They really aren’t much, lyrically. But they are a very important part of my life, so they matter. Here’s the first one. Or, actually, the last one I’d written before that relationship ended.

Done

Nails tear her flesh

The reddish trails, a souvenir

Tear after salty tear

Sting and kiss her wounds

Growing, growing

Till it can’t be contained

Awaiting it

Her gateway to paradise

The grand explosion. The end.
