Cats and adorable creatures on the Blockchain are nothing new, they’ve been around since the technology became popular, but RiotCats are NOT your average adorable crypto-pet! Let us present you our vision of how a feline universe should be.
Our riot cats are absolutely CLAWsome because they are 3D cats. Each cat is one-of-a-kind thanks to the unique genetic algorithm. A cat is coded with a 192-bit genome which stores all visible features which can’t ever be changed. These includes: body color, pattern, pattern color, eye color, mouth, tail. There are millions of potential combinations of how your cat can look like. Just like you, your cat is special!
Blockchain stores not only appearance features, but also cat’s character data, which includes a level, experience and stats. Over time, cats gain fighting experience that result in specific combat statistics such as mobility, ferocity, bloodthirst, agility, and strength of attack. (Did we mention bloodthirst?) Now here’s where things get really crazy. These stats can actually mutate and change the appearance of the cat’s offspring! What else would you expect in a post apocalyptic world ruled by furry demon cats, right?
Cat-fights! MEOCH!
Players can enter into the fiercest combat, cat against cat, relying on the success of previous battles, accumulated equipment, and each cat’s unique characteristics. The results of the fight are calculated on the blockchain by RiotCats special algorithm and then displayed for the players to see as a real 3D battle scene. Win or lose, each player gains more experience, but to the winner will go the spoils. More equipment. More weapons. More experience. More everything!
Smart Contrcats
RiotCats is based on the ERC-721 standard, meaning each cat is a ERC-721 token. ERC-721 tokens are unique in that the tokens are non-fungible.
All information is recorded and stored using blockchain technology, which means your cats can’t be lost, replicated, destroyed or stolen.
Each cat is created using a special genetic algorithm so that each cat is uniquely singular and wholly owned by the player. The buying, selling, and even breeding of riot cats takes place directly between players and governed through the use of smart contracts. All smart contracts will be publicly available and anyone will be able to see their code.
Militarize your battle cat!
The game has a huge number of additional items that players can find in the marketplace or win in a fight. Additional items can be equipment that, for instance, enables a player to improve the cooldown time of their animal, or that increases the power or the uniqueness of the creature. Items are stored as ERC721 tokens. Weapons, equipment, the cats themselves are the sole property of the player and can be bought or sold at anytime. It’s a free and open marketplace. You play to win. You play to collect. And you play to earn!
