Are you serious right now, mom

Chapter 3

I was in Taiwan Japanese School right from the start. Like from the first grade. As I said in the last chapter, Taiwan Japnese School only has up to 9 grade, which is junior high. For high school, you either got to American School right across the street which has like twice of the size than our school, or you can go to local schools in Taiwan, but remember, in Japanese School they solely uses Japanese education to teach us. You normally will not be able to speak Chinese if you went to Japanese School despite the fact that you live in Taiwan. Oh, and by the way, Taiwanese speaks Chinese. And please, Taiwan is not Thailand. They are totally two different countries. Like seriously, don’t mix them up. It’s really stupid. When I was in high school in Japan, a lot — and when I say a lot I mean “a lot” — of my friends said to me, “Oh! so that’s why you can speak English! because you are Taiwanese!” “Oh! so do you like Thailand? or Japan better?!” Like what the hell has Thailand has to do with this. I’m talking about Taiwan dude. And believe me, Taiwan has nothing to do with English.

Okay, sorry, got little carried away. So yea, you can either go to American School, local schools, or you can go back to Japan to continue your education. Most of the people go back to Japan. Because, it’s not easy to get in or to get used to a school when you can’t even speak its language. But the point I want to make here is, I was in Japanese School from day 1 and my mom suddenly woke up one day and told me, “you are going back to Japan.” I was still in 7 grade. This is important here, “7" not “9." This means I will not be able to graduate with my friends I known since 1st grade in elementary school. This means I will not be able to finish my junior high education in the school I was in since day 1. THESE was very important for me back then, I was a 13 years old kid, I need these things. These things mattered to me. Besides, I don’t know anyone in Japan except my dad, which I haven’t lived with for like 11 years.
