invasive and rude
inescapable in a world so overrun
oh for a sweet quiet place!
innumerable layers of
chatter and rattle and rumble
voices, amplified and electronic…
music yes, but is anyone listening?
my gentle thoughts are violated
ding ding ding ding ding
children scream with excitement
the pedestrian crossing bursts out
in a staccato spasm
the coconut clop of hooves
the protest of unexpected brakes
the shrill, the jangling
the rumbled stuttering, tumbled and torn
confused and abused
my concentration crumbles
I’ve no armour

One clap, two clap, three clap, forty?

By clapping more or less, you can signal to us which stories really stand out.
