I think this presents a comletely false picture of “net neutrality,” which seems to be a solution looking for a problem — or a crusade looking for a cause. Only if there were some major obstacle to the formation of more ISPs or some limit on competition between ISPs would the customer ever experience the kind of scarcity envisioned by supporters of Net Neutrality. In fact, the opposite is more likely — more competition, more supply, greater quality, cheaper price. If you start regulating, setting prices while guaranteeing but limiting profits (as with utilities), you will get less innovation, less supply, higher prices and POLITICS all over the place. Don’t do it. Let the market do its work.
