EMDR (Eye Movement Desensitization and Reprocessing) is a unique form of psychotherapy that could enable you to heal the symptoms and emotional pain that have developed due to distressing life experiences. Repeated studies show that, by using EMDR therapy, people can experience the benefits of psychotherapy that once took years to make a difference. ‘

EMDR is an effective and evidenced based treatment for post traumatic stress disorder (PTSD), anxiety, depression, panic attacks, and stress reduction. In addition to “big T” traumas, EMDR therapy can treat the impact of the challenging “everyday” experiences that may be leading you to seek therapy.

EMDR utilizes bilateral stimulation, such as eye movements or alternate tapping, to help people reprocess difficult experiences in a physiological way. This process is similar to the REM cycle experienced during sleep, although you would be fully alert during treatment.
