The power of the pen
No matter how many one-of-a-kind note-taking apps crop up on the app store, I will never fully transition to online note-taking.
On any given workday, my first order of business if to make a note of what I need to do that day. Not on my laptop, nor on my phone but rather on my notepad. In fact, it doesn’t even matter what I write on. I just need to write.
The distribution of productivity
Although I won’t work solely on pen and paper because it’s infinitely slower and less powerful, there are some things phones haven’t replaced for me yet. The sensation of writing is incomparable to that of typing. The palpability of your thoughts scrawled on paper is something no amount of typing can compensate for.
This gives me hope that robots won’t really take over the world one day.
And until my notes app allows me to get the same mindless satisfaction I get from doodling on paper, I’ll stick to my trusted notepad.
