Faith

I had a bad dream last night and this one stayed with me for a while.

Sometimes bad dreams have a snowballing effect where one negative thought leads to another, which leads to another and so on.

I realised that during this mental trauma, having faith in God turned me around from all the negativity. And this is not the first time this has worked.

Now let me clarify something here. Even though I’m agnostic, I have found that believing in God helps me have a peaceful mind and not the other way around. It is the Power in thy name that gives me strength during those difficult situations and gives me something to hold onto.

I think that in this age of digitalisation, we are no longer living in a world where humans are constantly hunting for food or keeping an eye out for an enemy attack. When these basic needs are already met for some people, they find it hard to find a purpose in the world.

A majority of the population today seems like they are doing a job that doesn’t align with their beliefs or goals. This situation is bound to cause unhappiness which often leads to emptiness. But it doesn’t have to be that way.

A cold shower with your favourite song can do wonders. Do not under estimate the power of change in your “physical state” as described by Tony Robbins. Don’t let that empty mind be a devil’s workshop and start thinking about ways or of jobs that will help you full-fill your beliefs. Writing a few of these down also helps some people.

We are all living in a world that is rapidly changing which makes the future looks intimidating and ambiguous at times but I urge you the reader, Yes You! to go on and have a little faith and put on a smile!

After all it was just a bad dream!

PS: This post may not make sense to every reader but it is my first step towards doing something that I believe in, which is helping a fellow human who’s going through a tough time and show him/her that they are not alone.

Have you taken your first step?
