What did you do this past week?

This past week, I set up the SQL database and API for my project so it can be compatible with searching, sorting, and filtering.

What’s in your way?

We got points off for IDB2 because we were unaware of the requirements for some of the components of the project. This week, I need to make sure I thoroughly fulfill all necessary requirements for this upcoming phase. Also, one of our team members is unresponsive.

What will you do next week?

Next week, I have 2 midterms and a project due 2 days later. I’ll be focusing on those.

  1. What was your experience of SQL? (this question will vary, week to week)

Honestly, not the best. Setting up tables, formatting data properly, and populating the database is a painstakingly long and cumbersome task. I also am having trouble wrapping my head around SQL commands we’re learning in class, such as Cross Join, Theta Join, etc.

  1. What’s your pick-of-the-week or tip-of-the-week?

Meal Prep. I live far from campus, so I find myself constantly struggling to make food and clean up after myself in the kitchen. It takes a lot of time out of my day, so I should just make all food all at once at the beginning of the week so I don’t have to worry about it.
