Karna’s last breaths

He was trying to remember the spritual hymns that he has learnt from God Parshurama but all his efforts were in vain. His chariot’s wheel was stuck in mud and he had no option left but to put down his Vijaya bow and get to the ground to get the stuck wheel out . He said to Arjuna who was desperately looking at him ready to shoot by his Gandiva Dhanusha , “ O, Mata Kunti’s Son Arjuna wait for me. Let me get my chariot’s wheel out of the mud. I know that you will not do Adharma and kill me when I am weaponless.” Arjuna put his bow down as he did not wanted to kill his greatest enemy in this state. Karna at this moment remembered the two curses he got.

One from his guru Bhagavan Parshurama and other from a sage(rishi muni). Parshurama cursed him that he will forget all of his knowledge when they will be most useful to him, and the other was the curse of a sage that his wheel of chariot will be struck in mud at the time of his death and be will not be able to get hos chariot’s wheel back up. Karna knew that this was the last of him.

Krishna looked at Arjuna and said “ Partha, what are you waiting for?” The Supreme lord knew that Arjuna will never be able to kill Karna if he took his Vijaya Dhanush in hand. Karna was so capable that he could have defeated each and every empire of the Arya Varsha, he was the person who could defeat each pandava without his invincible shield and earnings, he was the most powerful warrior after Bhishma and Dronacharya.

Krishna continued “ Did you forgot Arjuna what have Angraja did to you? He called Draupadi in Dice game' s night in front of all the kings in Hastinapur’s Assembly, a vaishya(slut), he always helped Duryodhana in all of his devlish schemes , he killed your beloved son Abhimanyu.O Arjuna, pick up your bow kill this Adharmi right now and free him from his burdens of life. No one will be benefited from his life now. He has committed all the sins that he could. Give him salvation”. Arjuna anger grew tremendously he stretched his bow and arrow and targeted it right to Karna’s throat.

Karana looked at Arjuna and he looked at Krishna , he felt like he is going to get free from all of his lifes treacherous Karma. He did whatever he could do in this life. He looked at the lotus eyes of Krishna, and his face smiling. He knew that there is no use of his life now. He felt that it will be a great respected death for him to die from the hand of his younger brother Arjuna. And the arrow struck his neck and he took his last breath.

All the Pandava army started celebrating as there biggest fear from the Kaurava’s side is no more. Bheem roared “ he is dead , the person who got pious Draupadi a slut is dead.”. Shakuni said, “ Angraja betrayed us , he did not killed even one Pandava and now he gave his last donation as his defeat to us.” Nakula said, “ Abhimanyu’s murderer is gone”. Duryodhana for the first time gave out a loud cry as he lost his most trusted ally and friend in this world.

Krishna remembered that a Great Daanveer , who donated anything he could , the person who was never disloyal to his friends, the person who disregarded his offer to rule the whole Hastinapura to keep the loyality with Duryodhana , the person who gave Mata Kunti the vow to not kill any one of the Pandava except Arjuna,the one who gave Lord Indradeva the king of heaven donation of his shield and earnings which led him to face tremendous pain of blood coming out from his chest and ears, the one who struggled all his life just to get the respect he deserved and who was a great devotee to him has died.

Krishna’s eyes were wet with tears and he gave his auspicious blessings to the great Krana’s soul to lead to the salvation.
