There are only hand few women-oriented films are made in Tamil. At present we can see a change in this ongoing trend. The next in the pipeline is Jyothika’s Magalir Mattum. Uru directed by Vicky Anand has its flaws as the film takes time to set its pace. But the director makes up for this as the genre thrills are solid and gives the audience enough goosebumps. The knockout performance comes from Dhansika. Her screen presence was strong that she literally overshadowed the rest of the cast.
Maragatha Naanayam (16th June)

The film didn’t have much of the expectations as there was a repeat of ghost comedies with the same done and dusted storylines. But to everyone’s surprise the film had a fresh script with enough dollops of entertainment dose. The novelty in handling this genre was appreciated by everyone. The romance between the Adhi and Nikki Galrani didn’t diverted the attention from the main theme. So, overall it was a decent mix of ghost comedy, romance and thrilling moments which went on to the favor of the film.
The other major Tamil movies that were released in June was Anbanavan Asaradhavan Adangadhavan and Vanamagan. The Anbanavan Asaradhavan Adangadhavan review was a total disappointment, whereas the Vanamagan review was mixed. Watch this space, to know all the latest Tamil movie reviews.
