International Yoga Day, 2016
Every year on the 21st June, people from more than 170 countries including USA, China, Canada etc participate and celebrate the International Yoga Day. This includes all members, observer states, United Nations system organizations, other international organizations, regional organizations, civil society, governmental organizations, non-governmental organizations, and individuals. To add interest to this event, various activities are organized like yoga training campus, yoga competitions, meetings, discussions, debates, cultural programmes and other such activities. This event aims to raise awareness among the masses about yoga and the benefits associated with it.

Watch out for upcoming events being hosted by some of these organizations:
- Isha Foundation: Attend free workshops organized by Isha Foundation in Various cities across India as well as other parts of the globe including USA, Canada and Europe. Learn Sadilaja and Yoga Namaskar postures, Kriya (breathing techniques), Nada Yoga and Meditation. The workshops welcome all above 7 years and you need not be experienced in yoga or have any particular fitness level. The duration of the workshop sessions last between 30 to 90 minutes.
2. Guild of Yoga: Celebrate International Yoga Day for a good cause with Guild of Yoga, Surrey, UK. 4. Alexandra Palace: Join in the celebration of the U.N. International Yoga Day with Alexandra Palace, London on 19th June 2016. Attend free sessions of Yoga and meditation by leading yoga teachers. Take your friends and family even if they are just beginners as this is a great opportunity for beginners in Yoga. The event is to be held in the grounds of Alexandra Palace from 8 am onwards.
5. Rishikul Yogshala: Celebrate the entire month of June, with Rishikul Yogshala at Rishikesh, India with like minded yogis.
