Greetings to all my readers!

Here I am with my another exciting blog. As a part of this week’s milestones we had given a task to create workflow for social media application. It was totally new for me as I never created such a workflow. It was exciting and interesting too.

What is workflows?

Workflow is the series of activities required to accomplish a task. Basically a workflow is a sequence of steps, linear representation of tasks/processes from start to finish.

Workflows are the ways , how we organize and visualize our work. A workflow helps us map out the timeframes of each task and gives a broad overview of all of the processes involved.

Importance of workflows in getting overall picture

  1. It helps us to stay organized and on track: Workflow outlines all that needs to be done so that we can plan accordingly. It will help us to identify and eliminate the unnecessary tasks.
  2. Saves time: By drawing out a plan, we can easily detect and tackle any challenges or bottlenecks ahead a time.
  3. Support high-quality work: Workflow supports the high quality work because we avoid missing key processes, reduce unnecessary communication and ultimately, build trust.

How to create workflows?

  1. Planning: This is the very first step in creating workflows where we determine the objectives of the projects as well as the target audience the site will be aimed at.
  2. Creating wireframes: This is where ideas and visions start to come to life. Here, we start creating sitemap and drawing up wireframes. A sitemap is a visual representation of the actual website from birds-eye-view. It helps us to map out what pages go where and the hierchy of content.

On deeper level, wireframes outlines what each page will look like, complete with the most important elements without being influenced by the design

3. Implementation phase: It’s where the design work happens, where content creation takes place, and where it all comes together.

4.Test and launch: The final stage is testing the design and content and pushing the website live for the world to see.

Thank you
