South Indian State of Karnataka is known for mystic Dance and practises such as Yakshagana and Bhoota Kola,Naag Puja. The speciality of these mystic practises is that they signify supernatural powers.
Bhoot Kola is a religious dance performed by Humans who are possessed by Daivas or the skeleton army of Lord shiva. Bhoot kola is practised significantly in the southern most part of Karnataka. The region which is now known as tulu nadu. Karkala Taluk in Udupi District of Karnataka is the hub for Kola.

Bhoot Kola is commemorated by a group who makeup themselves to look like honorofic-ferocious spirits who dance upon local folk theme. Their appearance could make any regular traveller shit scared. “Dharmadaiva” is a tulu term for a kola spirit. Legends say these spirits awaken only on days when the “Kola” takes place.
Kola is a spiritual gathering which takes places throughout Tulu Nadu.
Daiva mystically possesses the hosts body who then after dance for a specific set of time. They foresee the future happenings and spill their visions to the locals.
Daiva’s part in severe conditions, they do stunts that common people cannot, as they are adaptable and hardened men.
Daiva are the immortal chronicles of shiva who live as invisible omnipotent spirits.
