Like perennial flowers after blooming, the Moon must shed to be reborn. The Full phase of the Moon’s cycle is an opportunity of completion that’s presented to us each month. When Full, the Moon is at its peak with cumulative energy from whatever sign She is in. This is a time of celebration, fruition and magic that allows us to purge unnecessary attachments that we may carry with us as we move through life.

Once the Moon reaches its peak when Full, we begin to embrace release through the Waning Gibbous phase. This phase is where the true letting go happens, after the Full Moon exposes the path we have taken after creating intention with our goals during the New Moon.

During this specific transit, we’re experiencing a penumbral eclipse. This is a very subtle lunar event that occurs when the Earth casts a small shadow on the Moon because of the planet’s alignment.

New beginnings instantaneously surface as old stories come to an end. The beginnings at hand ask us to address a shadow aspect of ourselves that may be holding us back from our manifestations and must be addressed and released, in order to manifest seamlessly.

This event can help bring closure to energy that is remaining from pivotal moments or situations; energies that can feel fated.

Individually and collectively, the Moon represents our emotional flow and function. The Moon’s natural rhythm routinely introduces different energies into our daily flow. Just like the planets in our charts, the Moon also moves through all 12 houses, activating the magic in different areas of our lives. In this case, the Moon will transit the house(s) Libra rules over in your Natal Chart.

For example, Kate Winslet has her Sun, Moon, Mercury, and Ascendant all in Libra. All of these placements are in her 1st house, which means this Full Moon can provide Kate with the chance to take stock on who in her life is providing her with the most encouragement to be herself. The 1st house has everything to do with how we outwardly project ourselves and our sense of expression, so this is energy can be used for Kate to align herself with a very empowering sense of independence and confidence to go for opportunities that allow her to express herself fully. Ultimately, she could use this transit to release old aspects of herself that no longer serve what her goals are today.

Libra’s place in the zodiacal cycle comes after the purification of Virgo and this energy is what can help us attain balance. Libra, the antipode of Aries, is all about our partnerships and the way we balance connection with individuality. Adapting to others may come naturally for a Libra as the sign is associated with justice, fairness, and harmony. Librans can have a tendency to lose their sense of self in others because their energy is all about fostering harmonious situations and relationships.

Libra is represented by a traditional scale, similar to that used in Egyptian mythology to weigh the hearts of the deceased against a feather. This metaphor for balance is ingrained in the sign of Libra itself, as its archetype by nature helps us to restore equality.

A native Libra Moon can have a natural charm and charisma that tends to make socializing fairly easy. This sign may have a tendency to become emotionally avoidant through their ample social experiences. Libra Moon natives may also experience discomfort through situations that feel unfair, or emotionally imbalanced.

A natal Libra Moon may learn about themselves through these experiences with others, but it can be difficult for them to express when their boundaries have been violated. Constantly absorbing from others, a native Libra Moon may not have the time to lay the bricks of their own emotional foundation down until they have held themselves accountable for the things that have happened in their life.

A Moon in Libra asks us to consider the things we do to please others. Are these things also serving you, or is it a sacrifice you make?

In a battle of heat versus heart, there can tend to be no clear winner during a Libra Moon. Assuring people’s comfort through politeness, a Libra Moon can sometimes neglect an emotional approach. It’s not that Libra Moons do not have feelings, in fact, they feel quite deeply. Their rationality can supersede their emotion, especially if influenced by others they trust. When the Moon is in Libra, there’s a sense of kindness in the air. Kindness means well, but it isn’t the defining factor of our human experience. The Moon in Libra teaches us that not all experiences are meant to be pleasant, despite how badly we may want them to be.

During the Full Moon in Libra, we’re given a chance to foster deeper relationships through collaboration and understanding. Whether your sparring partner is your lover, a co-worker, sibling, or complete stranger– the increase in emotional sensitivity during this penumbral eclipse can induce an emotional reaction. Because of the Full Moon in Libra, we are likely to transform through our experiences with others. A self-confidence and hidden talent could possibly be revealed through the se collaborations, conversations, and conflict.

The subtle purge of the Penumbral Eclipse may offer us new beginnings that feel fated and collaborative conflict that can help us integrate some of the lessons offered to us.

The Full Moon and eclipse combination can be an energy of endings that are attached to new beginnings. These beginnings may require maturity and wisdom that we have gained through the last 6 months of lunar transits — since the New Moon in Libra during October of 2023. There could be blockages lingering or created from as far back as 2021, from the set of Taurus/Scorpio eclipses that took place.

The Taurus/Scorpio and Libra/Aries axes will be affected during this lunar cycle, the Universe providing messages and potent energy in service to our healing. The beginnings at hand ask us to address a shadow aspect of ourselves that may be holding us back from our manifestations and must be addressed and released, in order to manifest seamlessly.

Our last New Moon in Pisces aided us in accessing our intuition and flowing with the subconscious information presented to us. This time could have helped us manifest a better connection with ourselves and Spirit. The next lunar transit will be a fresh expression of ourselves as we shed the conditions others have placed on us. During the Aries New Moon on April 8th, there will be a solar eclipse in a Mercury retrograde. This powerful event can give us a superboost and help us to cosmically reset as we strive towards our newly re-shaped goals.

Please also be mindful that we all experience every energy of the 12 zodiac signs. While you may not think something is pertinent to you, this transit can and will manifest differently for everyone!
