Busy is the new smoking.

And we’re all addicted. As marketers, our days are spent jumping from meeting to meeting, then sneaking lunch at our desks. We’re busy.

But “busy” isn’t good for our health, and it’s not good for our careers.

As marketers, we need time to think.

Joe Pinsker from The Atlantic called this “busy” phenomenon a new type of status symbol, but it’s become a crutch, a popular excuse, an addiction for us all to secretly embrace.

The idea of “work/life balance” has devolved into an acceptance that work/life balance doesn’t exist. Instead, we rely on a new economy of counterbalances: to-do list apps, screentime apps, meditation rooms, and mindfulness routines.

Multi-tasking presented the answer to “busy,” but now we agree that it’s a myth. Marie Kondo tells us to find joy in simplification. But what’s the real answer?

At Pattern89, we believe technology is a big part of breaking the addiction.

Today, Pattern89 launches Gemini, its newest set of capabilities that give digital marketers more time to think.Because Pattern89 opens up time spent on the routine work of spreadsheets, weekly reports and lever-pulling, you can be even more human and more creative with your digital ads. Artificial Intelligence (AI) empowers you to break the addiction.
