Destroying America is no way to Protest
Before crazy leftist social justice warriors want to attack let’s get the narrative straight. What happened to George Floyd was an absolute tragedy because of the unjust actions by Derek Chauvin. Kneeling on someone’s neck is no way to detain someone, especially with three other officers present. However, the response by rioters (not protesters) in Minneapolis and the rest of the country defaces the memory of George Floyd and is immensely illegal.
All across America, riots have broken out destroying American businesses. This is not America. In the United States, Patriots gather displaying signs and speaking out for various causes. Instead of gathering in front of government buildings to peacefully practice the first amendment, rioters in Minneapolis have destroyed businesses such as Auto zone, Target, and even a bar owned buy an African American Firefighter.
These distorted actions do not honor the death of George Floyd. Instead, these anarchists are deliberately breaking the law to have their nonsensical narratives pushed. Two wrongs do not make a right.
People have not worked in months, but because insurrectionists feel like burning down businesses that have nothing to do with the death of George Floyd innocent people are unable to provide for their families.
The majority of the Police are not the problem. Police who are a disgrace to the uniform such as Derek Chauvin are absolutely repulsive, but that is not preponderance of officers. Agitators in these cities refuse to consider fact versus fiction in matters of police brutality due to racial injustices.
Floyd’s girlfriend, Courtney Ross even pointed out that if Floyd was alive he would be “devastated” to see the buildings on fire in Minneapolis. She urged the rioters to simply become non-violent protesters. Ross’ statements prove that rioters are doing nothing but destroying America’s cities and defacing the memory of George Floyd.
As Heather MacDonald quotes in her video “Are The Police Racist” for Prager University, Cops are “less likely” to shoot unarmed African Americans than they are to shoot non-blacks. Rolland Freyer from Harvard University says there are “no racial differences” in police shootings. He further asserts that African Americans are 24.7% less likely to be shot by police than non African Americans.
These statistics demonstrate the undeniable truth that race does not affect the way police do their jobs. At the end of the day, Police Officers are trying to do their jobs to keep the community safe. However, if their own life is in danger officers and every other American obtain the right to defend themselves. The outcry from rioters, Black Lives Matter, and Anti-fa does not reflect the truth about interactions between African Americans and Police Officers.
