A Shot In The Dark

By: Rexton Jones

POP! I was born. Well maybe it was less quick and more painful, at least from what I know about child birth. Not too long after that mommy and daddy separated. That meant it was just my pops and I. Oh wait my sister was there too. After many long years my dad finally found a new woman and we quickly lived with her and her kids. That meant eight people in one house, yeesh! Since then it’s been smooth sailing, I think? Nothing’s ever really been smooth for me. It has all been a shot in the dark.

Part 3- Music Video That Moves Me

I am a fan of hip-hop/rap because it has a lot of negative themes that tell stories of people who grew up in harsher environments. All of there music is “real” when they explain what they went through. The below linked song does not necessarily follow my explanation, but it has a very “feel good” vibe and it lifts me up.

Part 6- Inspirational People

  1. Walter Peyton

I love Walter Peyton as he is probably the best player for the best team of all time. Not only was the man a great player, but he also had the best attitude toward the game. I always look to copy that attitude he has… and that number.

2. 21 Savage

Although his inspiration is in a different way then Walter. This rapper inspires me by his story. He grew up in a very poor part of Atlanta where he was involved with many gangs and drugs. Although the drug part of his career still lives he got out of the gang lifestyle by rapping and working hard. To which his hard work has paid off as he now has a net worth well into 6 figures.

3. Ronald Reagan

A huge part of the Reagan administration was to be united as a country. He emphasized being neighborly to our fellow Americans. Now it might of all been his master plan to bring down the USSR, but if it was it worked.
