Another Medium Experiment
Not the one with all the swearing in it
So here’s the deal. I’ve got the perfect solution for all your photo hosting/sharing/selling needs. Of course I’m talking about SmugMug, one of the finest online photography solutions out there. I’ve been using it for the last 9 years so that right there should tell you it’s a solid service that’s been around for a while and that’s not planning on going anywhere (or selling out) any time soon.
I do have to warn you, though: SmugMug is aimed more at the serious, professional photographer. If you’re the type that loves to share their breakfasts or lattes on Instagram, then maybe you should stay there and avoid a paid service like SmugMug. And yes, SmugMug is indeed a paid service with no free versions. You do get to try it out for 14 days without you having to provide any credit card info and here’s the good news: if after your 2-week trial you’re convinced you want to hold on to your Pro account, you’ll be getting a 20% discount on your 1st year subscription.
So why have I titled this story “Another Medium Experiment”? I first ran a Medium experiment here, and decided that this SmugMug offer sounded like another great way of putting the Medium algorithm to the test. I first of all would like to see how readers (or the powers that be) react to affiliate links, which is what I’ve sprinkled all over this story. That’s right. If you click on any of those links and, after giving SmugMug a try, decide to keep your package I would be making a bit of extra cash that would eventually help me put food on the table. And after all, I’m recommending a service here that I’m 100% behind and am sure will leave most if not all professional photographers more than satisfied. Let’s see how this goes.
