A computer network is a network of interconnected devices, such as computers, servers, printers, routers, and switches, that facilitate communication, data sharing, and resource utilization among various devices, enabling efficient communication and resource utilization.

Local Area Network (LAN): A LAN is a network covering a small area, providing high-speed connectivity for devices like computers and printers, commonly used in homes and businesses to connect devices within a single building, office, or campus.

Wide Area Network (WAN): A Wide Area Network (WAN) is a network that connects multiple LANs over long distances, like the Internet, using technologies like leased lines, satellite connections, and fiber-optic cables.

Metropolitan Area Network (MAN): A Man (Man) is a larger LAN but smaller WAN, typically covering a city or campus area, used to connect multiple LANs for efficient data sharing and communication.

Global Area Network (GAN): A Global Area Network (GAN) is a network that covers the entire planet, despite being less commonly used than other networks.
