Agra- The Centre of World Famous Destinations in India
On the banks of the Yamuna River, Agra is the beautiful city in the northern Indian state Uttar Pradesh. Because of its many marvellous buildings of Mughal Empire, It has a major tourist attraction from all over the world. The three most famous destinations of this city are added to the list of UNESCO World Heritage Sites and those are the Taj Mahal, Fatehpur Sikri and Agra Fort. Taj Mahal: -
In Agra, Taj Mahal is the tomb that was built by the Mughal Emperor Shahjahan in the memory of Mumtaz Mahal who was the wife of Mughal Emperor. It is the beautiful art of Mughal architecture that made of marbles and in front of the Taj Mahal, there is a pond that shows its opposite image that looks like two Taj Mahal are built opposite (up and down) to each other. Agra Fort: -
Agra Fort is also the great art of Mughal architecture that was built by Mughal Emperor Akbar. Although it was firstly a brick fort built by Raja Badal Singh Hindu Sikarwar Rajput king and named Badalgarh in 1475 AD and at last Mughal Emperor Akbar re-build in 1573 and made it his capital when arrived here from Delhi. It is built with the beautiful sandstones that become the reason of charm. It is 3 km north-west of the Taj Mahal and approx 2 km from Agra city via Aulia Road that carries you within few minutes if you are travelling by any car rental services in Agra.
Fatehpur Sikri: -
Fatehpur Sikri is one of the most arrival destinations from each corner of India and World. Previously this city was called Vijaypur Sikari by the Sikarwar Rajput Family and later in 1569 AD; it was founded by Emperor Akbar and named Fatehpur Sikri. It is positioned on the banks of a beautiful natural lake that adding the twice beauty in the Fort. It is approximately 36 km from Agra via Agra-Bikaner Road and 40 km from Taj Mahal.
Jama Masjid: -
It is also known as Jama Mosque and Friday Mosque and one of the largest mosques in India that are in the World Heritage Site of Fatehpur Sikri. It was built by Shah Jahan in 1648 AD and known for its historical and architectural reasons. It is 4 km from Taj Mahalvia Jama Masjid Road and 2 km from Agra City via Mahatma Gandhi Road. You can take the cab on rent from Agra and visit the entire city also.
Taj Museum and Taj Nature Walk: -
Both the destinations are known for their natural beauties that give the calm and relaxing pleasure. These destinations are near the Taj Mahal and expressing the history and beauty of Taj. The Taj Museum is 3 km from Taj Mahal and The Taj Nature Walk is just half kilometre from Taj Mahal via Taj East Gate Road.
