The former actress has recently talked about the altering landscape of the entertainment industry. The actress, who will be making a comeback through a music video that likewise stars her son, has recently spoken about the disputations of nepotism and the popular boycott culture in Bollywood.

With the release of Mera Saathi, Mandakini made her film debut in 1985. However, it was her second film with Raj Kapoor that gave her fame in Ram Teri Ganga Maili. In a recent interaction, Mandakini shared her views on the ongoing fad of boycotting Bollywood movies.

In a latest interview with Etimes, Mandakini stated, “I don’t support this boycott culture. Artists and technicians work really hard and a lot of effort goes into making a film. People should go and watch movies in the theatres. An artist is always an artist. Whatever he is doing is for the public’s entertainment.”

Ironically, Mandakini made her debut film with a star kid itself. Nowadays, her son is also all set to make his debut in showbiz. When an actor is working, his children grow up in that atmosphere. It is natural for the kids to feel like doing the same thing that their parents are doing. Children accompany their parents on sets and social events. They meet directors, producers and other actors there. So it is natural to get influenced and there is nothing wrong in following your parents’ footsteps.”

After her remarkable role in Ram Teri Ganga Maily, Mandakini continued to work in many films before she took a hiatus after she got married in 1990. Mandakini’s former release film was Zordaar in 1996. The former actress also launched her first song Maa O Maa, which likewise honors the debut of her son Rabbil Thakur.
