Progress is relative …
.. and so is happiness. A recent experience. I live in this lovely pocket called Brentwood in the city of St Louis, MO. I haven’t lived in a place that’s close to so many great stores and restaurants — within 5 mins drive I have all of my fav restaurants and stores. This is a nice community of condos and town homes and a very safe neighborhood. But no assigned parking for your car .. until 2 weeks ago.
A recent change in the condo management and for a small fee you can now reserve a spot. A small change right? But a massive difference in your morale and belonging. As I was one of the earliest one to request the spot, I got the one closest to my town home.
Now every time I come from work or sometime late from a Saturday night event, I don’t have to park my car 10 mins away (this happens sometimes during big sporting events and Game of Thrones … of course). I can be assured of my space in my favorite spot.
So a tiny change can have a positive impact in your life. Its a progress - its relative to your state of being in time. And for me — so is happiness.
