Everyone of us needs to show how much we care for each other and, in the process, care for ourselves. ~Princess Diana

It seems that in times of uncertainty and chaos those of us who have overcome adverse life experiences have more compassion and empathy to share with others. This wisdom emerges from our heart, right on time, to intuitively guide those who are suffering and struggling. If we are focused on what is good and right, our intuitive perspectives can collectively shift the mainstream energy away from doom and gloom and in the direction of hope and resiliency.

Nothing New Under the Sun or Moon

Mothers and writers are not a new concept in modern living but, for me, it is two dreams colliding in one lifetime that needs to find balance. Since the beginning of time there has been the light of day and the dark of night. I watch the sun rise and set each day. I watch the moon as it waxes and wanes over the course of its cycle. I watch the flowers open with the dawn and close after twilight…

Be Gentle in the Mental

Note to self: Love yourself for every thing you’ve come through. Love yourself even if you have to pretend in the beginning. Begin to like yourself and then over time you can see that you will grow to love yourself. Yes you will! Learn to forgive yourself and be patient in the process of reshaping your thoughts to believe better things about yourself.

Write sticky notes to yourself and place them everywhere you can. Put them in your car, in your work desk…

“Creativity takes courage” ~Henri Matisse

Here is what they don’t tell you about art, creativity and writing-it takes courage, grit, steadfast determination, a steel set of nerves, relentless pursuit of what makes you happy despite getting paid for it, hours in one spot only to feel accomplished and drained at the same, and the unwavering question that nags your inner muse like, “Did you get it right yet”? All of this is the madness that is a glorious whirlwind of joy that I call My Creative Life!

And…here is the best part-I’ve let go of controlling the outcome ! I…

This is the story of how my happily-ever-after became the catalyst for my spiritual bankruptcy. When the dream was over I re-wrote who I was. I emerged with a deeper understanding of my souls purpose as I left the dead-end streets of what a mother ‘should’ do to make everyone else happy! :)

The “D”

When we arrived in the court room the judge was stunned by our co-creative plan to move forward. I think I was too, but the only thing I knew for sure was that I did not want my children to live as another statistic or have a negative view of either parent. I felt in my heart that learning to love beyond the sting of reality was the most valuable asset in transforming the ending into a new beginning.

Now, it did take…

I was told many things as a young girl, but I was never told the truth about my soul. I had to live through my experiences to share what I wanted to know.

I began my life just like everyone else, I was born innocent and shaped by my family. From there I experienced a thing called “life” and that life took me on a journey. On that journey there were many life experiences that shaped my life like water shapes a river bed. What I didn’t know was that there were many unforeseen things that were continually shaping my journey until one day I woke up and realized that maybe the journey needs to be re-routed for my own survival. This is the truth that I would tell myself as young, hungry…

“Everything comes to us that belongs to us if we create the capacity to receive it.” ~Rabindranath Tagore

Okay, so I have had time to go inward with a personal challenge I am having. I am a giver, 100%. I love to give without thought of compensation and all that goes along with that state-of-mind. What I discovered today though is that I am creating my own hardships because I am, unknowingly, creating a lack mentality by my blind thoughts about receiving being the same as taking. They are different. Let me explain:

When I was younger I was…

Question: What drives a person to give everything they have to help others become the people they were meant to be?

Answer: A life purpose and a passion beyond the ability to describe the desire to be an agent of service and an inspirational component for any soul who desires to embrace recovery from adversity, childhood sexual abuse and addiction.

Here is a list of a few of the I Can’s for Recovery

  • I CAN be happy (mostly)
  • I CAN have it all (that I want)
  • I CAN have a successful career of my choice (even as a writer)

“Delay is the deadliest form of denial.”~ C. Northcote Parkinson

Why is it okay to NOT talk about the staggering facts of childhood sexual abuse, rape, bullying, teen suicide, abusive parents, and how our children are suffering in the most unimaginable ways? Why is it okay to watch TV, talk for days about the “negative” news and do nothing about the incomprehensible and clearly unimaginable pain in the hearts of suffering children until it is TOO LATE! Until they take their own lives, or the lives of others?

I will NEVER understand why the obvious is so conveniently NOT talked…
