The legacy v1 interface no longer supports Supply transactions, but Repay and Withdraw will always be supported in the UI — the v1 protocol itself will perpetually support Supply, Withdraw, and Repay transactions.
What makes Compound unique, is that it operates entirely on the Ethereum blockchain (no databases), and all transactions are publicly verifiable.
