And there you are wrong. I raised three children in a city. My guess is you are raising children in a suburb. Families who live in cities don’t have driveways close to their backdoor. They use elevators and walk, bike, take public transit and taxis. When they use a car, you are correct there is the car seat problem (interesting to reflect that these aren’t required in taxis)

Hopefully AVs will have some seats that converr easily to car seats. And I could imagine some parents carrying around a kind of “shower cap” cover that would quickly fit over a dirty car seat. It is also likely that car seats won’t be dirty because they will be cleaned often and a seat left filthy will be reported by the next person
