Esther- While I take a progressive stance on immigration and do feel that the US does need to pass comprehensive immigration reform, I find no fault in pursuing gang members for deportation. Have you ever met someone from MS-13? Do you want MS-13 members on your streets and in your neighborhoods? I am certain that you would not. I think a focus on deporting criminals who do have legitimate criminal records involving violence and/or substantiated gang ties is a good thing. I feel your article is not even acknowledging that and instead is making another argument. So, my question is, do you feel as though a gang member with a violent criminal history should not be deported?
