When companies are trying to determine a market for their products, there are several things they have to consider. They must determine what types of products, the geographic area they intend to promote, customer views, the marketing mix, and etc.
Target Market for the product: The company must decide who they intend to sell the product too. Who will purchase the product for example baby wipes and which parents will buy each types.
Types of wipes: Natural, Sensitive, regular scented
Product type: competitive with other brands
Customer needs: which type they need
Customer types: young parents, older, naturalistic
Geographic area: location market on which types will sell better
Price: competitive with other brands and the target market
They will also have to consider social influences or whether family members suggest certain product brands and their attitude toward the product brand.
