How would you change it? Lower the income thresholds? When I say my job offers good pay I mean enough that I don’t wake up in cold sweat wondering how I am going to afford rent, reliable transportation, childcare, and food. I have enough to not constantly run numbers in my head and juggle past-due shutoff notices. I can afford to buy the orthopedic shoes my broken feet desperately needed, and put my kid in little league. I’m not living high on the hog here.
