There are so many factors. Time on market, recent comps, if you’re in a buyer’s or seller’s market (my understanding is that most places are seller’s markets right now). Your realtor should have experience with the process and can help guide you. And if you don’t have a realtor, you really should get one. I don’t know why anyone buys without one. Mine was invaluable and I ended up getting my house for a significant discount thanks to her experience and connections in finding out the seller’s bottom line.
