So, about ten years ago, I just started watching classic horror movies for Halloween, sort of on a whim. And since then, I’ve been trying to do them every year.
I’ve tried many different formats over the years. I did reviews on my Facebook at first. I ripped off Linkara’s Longbox of the Damned the second year I did this, and after that proved hard to maintain, I just stuck to doing reviews on my old blogspot, and well, here we are now.
Last year, in honor of the finale of David Gordon Green’s Halloween trilogy, I watched all of the Halloween movies in order. Check them out if you want. Now, I decided to go with a completely different franchise. A franchise John Carpenter himself has expressed admiration for.
The Big G has been destroying Japan and entertaining audiences since his debut in 1954, kickstarting an entire genre in the process, and providing a lens into Japanese culture and their views on nuclear weapons in the post-war period.
There is a lot of Godzilla media, from Marvel Comics adaptations to the thing I just posted above. Of course…
