You know the score. Spoilers.

I kinda appreciate the consistency of this series, or at least this particular era of it.

There aren’t any outright stinkers so far. No real unenjoyable experience. Each film has been at least interesting to watch and had at least one pretty fun scene in it.

This film wasn’t really one of the stronger entries, with the problem of too many plot threads remaining from the last one, and the fact that Godzilla doesn’t really show up much being points against this (I suppose this counts as a Godzilla movie, but the Big G doesn’t even appear all that much, and the focus is more on the alien Xiliens), but the film is not bad. Actually, it’s a pretty fun watch, even if it could’ve been more focused.

One interesting part of this film was the influence of American producer Henry Saperstein, who had worked with Toho on Frankenstein Conquers the World and War of the Gargantuas. Mainly, the appearance of American actor Nick Adams, who I recognize from his role in the former.

Adams does alright with the role, though he also seems to be speaking his lines in English, which can get distracting, although never to the point of losing any immersion.
