I fear I would not handle it well at all. In fact, I tend to default to “what else am I good for???” while working, even though I have never been unemployed!

Like some of the folks above, financially it probably would not be devastating at all, since I’ve been paranoid about it forever and hoarding years of living expenses/keeping living expenses super low. I think I could almost scrape by until retirement age, if I ate cat food! (completely non-rational — discounted groceries are actually cheaper)
