I really feel this is the False Latte Strawman argument. I don’t see that the article is saying if you cut out the lattes you’ll be rich — it’s saying that if you don’t spend your habitual $876.84 in 2016 on McDonalds (actual figure lol no regrets) you’ll actually have $876.84* for something else in 2017, which could be debt repayment or a cash cushion or a vacation or emergency.

*I’m using the whole amount because let’s be honest here, I could have done without all the calories and just been a bit less heavy.
