A Poem for the Bold

I did a thing that scared me

It took my breath away

I grabbed a bit of courage

and told fear it could not stay

I took the stage in boldness

threw caution to the wind

I had no plan of losing

I only came to win.

And I wish my voice was higher

If only I danced more smooth

but then I wouldn’t be like me

because I’d be like you.

So, tonight I decided that I’m enough

I did what only I could do.

I conquered a thing that scared me

I tried something new.

And I am Enough.
