Academic definitions of systemic racism do not replace the vernacular definition of racism. Systemic racism is defined by its modifier. Racism by itself is defined as bigotry because it’s meaning is derived from its use bigotry based on race.

Using the world “racism” when you really mean systemic racism in a sociological context is dishonest and creates a fallacy of equivocation.

White people in a white systemic racist paradigm cannot be victims of their own system. White people can certainly be victims of bigotry and hate, just like any other people. And you aren’t immune to systemic racism in India, or Malaysia, or Zimbabwe.
