Collapse of the First Global Civilization

You remind me of Harry Seldon from Asimov’s Foundation series, predicting a coming galactic dark age that can’t be stopped but can be minimized and shortened through certain actions.
That said, I was wondering what you think of the book Abundance by Peter Diamandis and Steven Kottler. It takes an opposing view. While it recognizes that all of these problems exist and are threatening civilization, it basically says that if we can survive the next 30–50 years technology will be available to not only fix all of this, but bring us to a new golden age of mankind. I’m a glass half full kind of guy so I tend to agree with their premise.
