An Apology

Dearest Joel. I was so imspired about the first part of your post. You had a solid biblical understanding. Romans 1–7, Eph 1–2, 1 Cor. It was all there.

You then went man centered and gave Jesus no reason to die, no reason for the sacrifice. Please, read your bible, and come back to truth.

For Jesus says: John 14: 6Jesus
said to him, “I am the way, and the truth, and the life; no one comes to the
Father but through Me. 7“If you had known Me, you would have known My Father
also; from now on you know Him, and have seen Him.”

Now, Judas
knew Jesus, did he not? But I digress, for my Lord continues: 8Philip
said to Him, “Lord, show us the Father, and it is enough for us.” 9Jesus
said to him, “Have I been so long with you, and yet you have not come to
know Me, Philip? He who has seen Me has seen the Father; how can you
say, ‘Show us the Father’? 10“Do
you not believe that I am in the Father, and the Father is in Me? The words
that I say to you I do not speak on My own initiative, but the Father abiding
in Me does His works. 11“Believe
Me that I am in the Father and the Father is in Me; otherwise believe because
of the works themselves. 12“Truly,
truly, I say to you, he who believes in Me, the works that I do, he will do
also; and greater works than these he will do; because I go to the
Father.

But you seem to believe you chose Christ. Jesus rebukes you:
John 6: 28Therefore they said to Him, “What shall we
do, so that we may work the works of God?” 29Jesus
answered and said to them, “This is the work of God, that you believe in Him
whom He has sent.”

It is a work of God, not man. He continues: 35Jesus
said to them, “I am the bread of life; he who comes to Me will not hunger, and
he who believes in Me will never thirst. 36“But
I said to you that you have seen Me, and yet do not believe. 37“All
that the Father gives Me will come to Me, and the one who comes to Me I will
certainly not cast out. 38“For
I have come down from heaven, not to do My own will, but the will of Him who
sent Me. 39“This is the will of Him who sent Me, that of
all that He has given Me I lose nothing, but raise it up on the last day. 40“For
this is the will of My Father, that everyone who beholds the Son and believes
in Him will have eternal life, and I Myself will raise him up on the last day.”

Vs 36, why
do they not believe? Because they choose not to? Nope, V37, The Father does the
work. It is the will of God, not man’s will. Why? What is man’s will?

Rom 3: 9What
then? Are we better than they? Not at all; for we have already charged that
both Jews and Greeks are all under sin;

10as it is written,

“THERE IS NONE RIGHTEOUS, NOT EVEN ONE;

11THERE IS NONE WHO UNDERSTANDS,

THERE IS NONE WHO SEEKS FOR GOD;

12ALL HAVE TURNED ASIDE, TOGETHER THEY HAVE BECOME USELESS;

THERE IS NONE WHO DOES GOOD,

THERE IS NOT EVEN ONE.”

13“THEIR THROAT IS AN OPEN GRAVE,

WITH THEIR TONGUES THEY KEEP DECEIVING,”

“THE POISON OF ASPS IS UNDER THEIR LIPS”;

14“WHOSE MOUTH IS FULL OF CURSING AND BITTERNESS”;

15“THEIR FEET ARE SWIFT TO SHED BLOOD,

16DESTRUCTION AND MISERY ARE IN THEIR PATHS,

17AND THE PATH OF PEACE THEY HAVE NOT KNOWN.”

18“THERE IS NO FEAR OF GOD
BEFORE THEIR EYES.”

19Now
we know that whatever the Law says, it speaks to those who are under the Law,
so that every mouth may be closed and all the world may become accountable to
God; 20because by the works of the Law no flesh will
be justified in His sight; for through the Law comes the knowledge of
sin.

Man’s will
from birth is to sin, to hate God, and to serve sin and self.

For we are
told PLAINLY in Eph 2: 1And
you were dead in your trespasses and sins, 2in
which you formerly walked according to the course of this world, according to
the prince of the power of the air, of the spirit that is now working in the
sons of disobedience. 3Among
them we too all formerly lived in the lusts of our flesh, indulging the desires
of the flesh and of the mind, and were by nature children of wrath, even as the
rest. 4But God, being rich in mercy, because of His
great love with which He loved us, 5even
when we were dead in our transgressions, made us alive together with Christ (by
grace you have been saved), 6and
raised us up with Him, and seated us with Him in the heavenly places in
Christ Jesus, 7so
that in the ages to come He might show the surpassing riches of His grace in
kindness toward us in Christ Jesus. 8For
by grace you have been saved through faith; and that not of yourselves, it
is the gift of God;

It is nothing YOU or I did, do, desire, it is a gift of God.
He did it, He willed it, He made it happen. Not you. Eph 2: 9not
as a result of works, so that no one may boast. 10For
we are His workmanship, created in Christ Jesus for good works, which God
prepared beforehand so that we would walk in them.

Eph 2: 11Therefore
remember that formerly you, the Gentiles in the flesh, who are called
“Uncircumcision” by the so-called “Circumcision,” which is performed in
the flesh by human hands — 12remember
that you were at that time separate from Christ, excluded from the commonwealth
of Israel, and strangers to the covenants of promise, having no hope and
without God in the world. 13But
now in Christ Jesus you who formerly were far off have been brought near by the
blood of Christ. 14For
He Himself is our peace, who made both groups into one and broke down
the barrier of the dividing wall, 15by
abolishing in His flesh the enmity, which is the Law of commandments contained
in ordinances, so that in Himself He might make the two into one new man, thus
establishing peace, 16and
might reconcile them both in one body to God through the cross, by it having
put to death the enmity. 17AND HE CAME AND PREACHED PEACE TO YOU WHO WERE FAR AWAY, AND PEACE TO THOSE WHO WERE NEAR; 18for
through Him we both have our access in one Spirit to the Father. 19So
then you are no longer strangers and aliens, but you are fellow citizens with
the saints, and are of God’s household, 20having
been built on the foundation of the apostles and prophets, Christ Jesus Himself
being the corner stone, 21in
whom the whole building, being fitted together, is growing into a holy temple
in the Lord, 22in
whom you also are being built together into a dwelling of God in the Spirit.
Please tell me where God saw how good you were, or how He
saw you would choose…please show me. IT. IS. Not . There. It was a gift. From Him. By Him. For Him.
