Used to be that the simple home telephone was an essential thing. Everyone had one, at least every household had one. The humble telephone arguably one of the best inventions in modern times, has allowed us to communicate, to call and express our thoughts to anyone whose number we could remember. We all learned how to pickup, dial, or answer a call. Very young children were told to remember their family’s telephone number in case of emergencies, and so the importance of the telephone achieved it’s status as an important fixture in all our lives.
