‘Friends and family come and go throughout our lives…Life is a constant game of encounters and losses. It is also a continual game of relationships.’

So true…especially the his, hers and theirs aspects of the split. When you add infidelity to the recipe, the aftermath of the breakup gets stranger. Some people know she cheated, some suspect it— like our 21 yr. old daughter, some still don’t know what happened to us. You can’t control the narrative and what the ‘network’ thinks of you. People have their own sh*it in life to deal with and over 50% of marriages end in divorce; most don’t care about yours.

While I still talk to her mom and family, our relationship is different and it’s okay. s you said, life is a continual game of relationships and we are lucky to have a few close ones that weather the rocky seas and stay throughout our lives.
