I’ve been using Debian for 15 years. I got frustrated at the instability of Windows computers. One day, I’d had enough.
It was hard to switch. In those days, you had to pick all the drivers for your hardware at install. I didn’t know what I was doing. If you could get your printer to work, you were either lucky or very, very good.
Today, I would never switch back. The ease of use and stability of Linux makes it a no-brainer over Windows. Mac is a closer call, but still I prefer Linux. When Mac works like it’s supposed to, it’s great. But as soon as you have to go under the hood, you wish you could see all the code, like Linux.
