The Different Types of Screen Protectors for Your Smartphone

There are different types of mobile phone screen protectors, each with its advantages.

Before one places a screen protector on their phone, they should consider the type of material used for its making.

1. Polyethylene Terephthalate

Polyethylene Terephthalate, shortly known as PET, is a plastic found in water bottles and other food containers.

· It offers minimal scratch and accidental fall protection, as it costs less and is super thin.

· As a result, these are almost invisible once installed on the smartphone.

· The screen protector does not cover edge-to-edge with curved screen phones.

· The PET protection offers a smooth feel, not similar to the durable TPU screen protector.

2. Tempered Glass

· The tempered glass screen protector is the best mobile screen protection everyone should have.

· It does not provide self-healing similar to the TPU but is tough when it comes to protection against scratches or accidental drops.

· Tempered glass measures at least 7 to 8 on the hardness scale, as these are thicker and more visible to the eyes.

3. Thermoplastic Polyreuthane

· When it comes to screen protectors, one always thinks of the TPU.

· The TPU is a flexible plastic, which is often hard to install, is not smooth, and provides an orangey glare to the phone screen.

· It can easily cover edge-to-edge on any phone model, has better protection against impacts, and offers some self-healing benefits for small scratches.

· One can ask for a replacement warranty, but need not worry about the cover coming out.

4. Nano Liquid

With the advancement in technology, even mobile screen protectors have moved one step ahead.

· We are talking about the liquid screen protectors available in the market, which provide ample protection to the phone using a solution.

· The Nano liquid screen protectors offer benefits, including extra protection.

· The best thing about these screen protectors is that it remains for a more extended period and wears off by itself.

The same thing makes it hard to test how reliable Nano protectors are. One cannot scratch it.

Endnote
